Story Start from a Moment

Half a century ago, a newly born, barely alive kitten was found by my father and great-grandmother. They named her Flower, and in the absence of formula and cow's milk, they nursed her back to life with bone marrow extracted from bones bought daily from the local butcher. Flower blossomed from a fragile creature on the brink of death to a spirited young kitten in just a month.

For the next 11 years, Flower was the lifeblood of our family. On days of rain or when the sun peeked after a shower, she would gift us with a bounty of fish. Her record stood at 27 in a day! What she brought home but couldn't finish was joyfully shared with neighbors, dried for future feasts, or salted for preservation.

Flower, always by great-grandmother's side, was the heart of our home, the spark of joy that lit up our lives. Every time a family member returned home, the first question would be, "Where is Flower?" Her absence was deeply felt when she passed away in her eleventh year. However, the legacy of love she left behind lived on, with each generation of our family, from my grandfather, father, aunt, and even myself, adopting stray cats and dogs.

Inspired by Flower, my father dedicated seven years from 2012 to 2019, independently studying courses from the University of Edinburgh's School of Animal Sciences and the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. He delved deep into the scientific understanding of pets like cats, dogs, and chickens, exploring aspects of their rearing, nutrition, behavior, emotions, and welfare.

Through his studies, he realized that many, including commercial enterprises, often overlook animal welfare, focusing instead on human-centric perspectives. This realization birthed Pounce Bot – a brand with feline welfare as our foremost consideration, focusing on their true behavioral, emotional, nutritional, and health needs, rather than only human convenience.

Our Team

At Pounce Bot, we believe in equality for our feline friends, in ensuring they are respected and loved as true members of our families. We call upon those who share this philosophy to join us in promoting a life for cats that prioritizes their welfare.

Pounce Bot began with the creation of an automatic litter box robot – a product designed keeping in mind colors that cats can see and perceive as safe, and equipped with a friendly odor control system.
